Dress to the "T" with your favorite graphics.

Graphic T-shirts were all over the streets at Milan Fashion Week.  Why does street fashion matter? Referring to tedpolhemus.com, "Styles which start life on the street corner have a way of ending up on the backs of top models on the world’s most prestigious fashion catwalks."  With this being said, I decided to take a look at various photographers' collections of show-goers from Milan Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2013.  There were some fabulous outfits where comfort held great significance.  A reoccurring trend of over-sized or loose fitted T-shirts managed to be worn by these fashionistas in various ways.

A touch of color:  Graphic T's can change up any style.  A simple quotation T or a classic Mickey Mouse shirt will make you feel young all over again.  One way is to pair it with a skirt for a feminine look.  Add bright colors to bring out the fun in your fashion and don't forget to add a the matching, chic heels!

On the edge: Graphic T- shirts can also bring out the edgy/hipster look in you.  Mix and match with black and darker colors.  Choose graphics similar to skulls or even space theme.  You may not choose to wear heels with this style, so try pairing your apparel with some oxfords.

How to wear this trend: This week is your chance to show me how YOU add your personal flair to your T-shirt collection.  Post photos below and let's see what you have in store!  Remember this look is all about personality.  Above are examples from the streets of Milan Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2013.  Graphic T's always express the individual who is wearing it and the culture around them.  I look forward to expanding my view on the young, fun T-shirt trend.

Colour yourself with patterns this Spring.

Colorful patterns take over New York Fashion Week.  According to 303magazine.com, the fashion shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week for Spring 2013 had a few reoccurring trends.  Lace, bold colors, prints, leather, and chiffon were a few that were spoken about.  After looking and analyzing the shows for myself, I came to the conclusion that the bold colors and prints stood out.

Runway looks:  Throughout the runway it was easy to see many colorful prints.  Nicole Miller's design on the left displays the popular floral pattern from the blazer to the model's pants.  Patterned trousers hold a great importance for Spring 2013.  They are fun to wear and make a fashion statement.  The center look was created by J. Crew.  Yet again, the floral prints were used.  Bright, bold colors are common for many designers this Spring.  The button-up blouse paired with the pencil skirt show that prints are used everywhere.  The third look chosen was a dress from Sophie Theallet.  Mix patterns throughout individual garments or complete outfits held a great significance.  In my opinion, this trend is chic and fabulous!

NY Fashion Week street style:  According to Vogue.com, not only did patterns take over the runway shows, but added to the fashions on the street.  Unique prints were found from accessories to apparel.  Don't be shy and try out this new trend!  From fashion shows to everyday wear bold prints can bring out your individual style.

How to wear this trend:  This is a fun look to try!  Take a look through your existing wardrobe and I'm sure you will find bold colors and unique prints.  To create my look, I used a floral top with polka dot shorts.  I completed the look with bright platform heels.  Use your creativity and you will see how easy it is to build this trend yourself!

Fall in love with this Golden look.

GOLD is everywhere this Fall!  According to Elle.com and reviewing numerous runway shows for Fall 2012, this is predicted to be all over the stores this season.  You can find everything from golden metallic material to beautiful gowns complete with gold embellishments.  You may even want to pair up your favorite outfit with layered gold accessories.

Off the runway:  Dolce & Gabanna had a very impressive collection.  Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana contributed to the golden trend for Fall 2012.  These talented designers brought in their inspiring Italian feel and used the baroque style in numerous pieces.  These 16th century patterns were created as a gold embellishment.  I personally am in love with the way gold was used on the runway for Dolce & Gabanna.

Everyday metallic:  Gold metallic should be in your wardrobe this season.  Whether it is a pair of leggings or a metallic top it is a must for Fall 2012.  These pieces can be paired with just about everything for a fun and trendy look.

How to wear this trend:  Instyle.com talks about combing gold with black for a trendy Autumn style.  The contrast of these two colors bring out a great look.  Creating this trend yourself is easy!  I began with a gold metallic top and paired it with a vintage skirt.  Gold layered necklaces and bracelets were added to the outfit.  Matching black pumps and a black purse (with a long, gold strap) completed my look.
