Layering meets the streets.
Global street fashion is all about layering. On streetpeeper.com, I analyzed numerous cities and their idea of fashion. The collar peeking from another layered item was very visible. Knits and dresses were just some of the pieces it was paired with. It is important to make the layers visible, but don't add too much!
How to wear this trend: Off the streets of London and Milan they are doing it right! According to ponx.hubpages.com there are right and wrongs in a layered look. The first look to the left displays the concept of placing heavier garments on top. The outfit on the right, shows of the idea of wearing longer pieces at the bottom.

More global fashion: Sydney and Toyko bring their own twists to this trend. Following the rules on ponx.hubpages.com, they bring great fashion ideas to the rest of the world. The left image displays contrasting colors to bring out the layers. The image beside supports the instruction of adding other items when layering. You may wish to add a necklace or even a belt like she has.

How do you "feel" about this texture trend?
Mix and match your favorite materials. Thebudgetfashionista.com
is one of the many blogs stating the importance of texture for this
season. It is now fashion savy to try unique combinations. Fur can be added with leather, denim, or a button-down flannel. You many even wish to add tweed with brocade. There are endless examples. The 10 Crosby Derek Lam Fall/ Winter 2012 collection was
one of the trendsetters of this style. The fur jacket with the red, leather skirt is a great look! The fabulous Rihanna has been noticed rockin' this style. She pulls off the mixure of three different textures. Who would have thought that these items can work so well together?

How to wear this look: After entering the Nordstrom's BP department, it is obvious that this trend also exists on their mannequins. Following up on their website, you can find items to help mix and match your wardrobe. Leather leggings, a fur vest, and flannels are all found online! Do you wish to save money? If shopping for new merchandise is not in your budget, take a look through your retired pieces and bring them back in a new fashion.

80's punk is always in fashion.
80's punk style is coming back in a new wave! According to stylecaster.com, Fall fashion will have a touch of the 80's. Do you remember the colored mohawks and leather jackets? Referring to 80s-fashion-fancy-dress.com, this style of dress allowed the individual to act rebellious and show personality. The inspiration derived from celebrities in the music industry such as The Ramones, Sex Pistols and Billy Idol. Studs, spikes and safety pins were very important; along with worn band T-shirts.

Off the runway: Designers have modernized this look in a fashionable way for this season! Designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Ashish, and Diesel have showcased this style on the runway. Leather jackets are found everywhere! An over-sized shirt paired with slim trousers was another reoccurring trend on the catwalk.

Does the Haider Ackermann collection "suit" you?
Paris Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2013. After analyzing various designers, the Haider Ackermann Spring/ Summer 2013 RTW collection stood out to me. The theme was a dark, cold feel. The indigo colored lipstick added to this vibe. Black, navy, grey, and a few white looks created the color story. Furthermore, patterns including polka dots and stripes were visible throughout. The simplicity of the sleek back hair in a bun and lack of jewelry allowed the audience to focus on Haider Ackermann's designs.
Masculine vs. Feminine: Haider Ackermann turned a masculine look into a stunning, feminine style. These suits were tailored with great class and consisted of strong shoulders. The trouser pants were either pleated in the front and ended at the ankle, or were a loose fit that covered the heel. The first look below added a obi belt to embrace the waistline. Vogue.co.uk states that Pucci and Etro also added the obi belt to their collections at Paris Fashion Week. The third look visualizes layering under the suit jacket along with the use of mixed patterns. This trend of a masculine look is on its way this Spring season!

Inspired Designs: Where have you saw this pattern before? Inspiration for patterns and designs can come from anywhere. This diamond pattern is noticeable on metal fences throughout our everyday lives. Take a look around you and you too can discover how designers interpret their surroundings into new creations. This beautiful, flowy dress from Haider Ackermann's collection was only one that I selected. Some
dresses were even added with trousers for a trendy look! Belting was incorporated
in various ways comparable to the image below. I truly appreciated the entire collection, all the way from the runway theme to Haider Ackermann's style! Check out the rest!

How to wear this trend: Amanda Seyfried was spotted at Paris Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2013 wearing a bold red suit herself! Add your own style to this look and bring in the femininity with color. The suit should not just be in your boyfriend's closet, but try one out yourself!

Dress to the "T" with your favorite graphics.
Graphic T-shirts were all over the streets at Milan Fashion Week. Why does street fashion matter? Referring to tedpolhemus.com, "Styles which start life on the street corner have a way of ending up on
the backs of top models on the world’s most prestigious fashion
catwalks." With this being said, I decided to take a look at various photographers' collections of show-goers from Milan Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2013. There were some fabulous outfits where comfort held great significance. A reoccurring trend of over-sized or loose fitted T-shirts managed to be worn by these fashionistas in various ways.
A touch of color: Graphic T's can change up any style. A simple quotation T or a classic Mickey Mouse shirt will make you feel young all over again. One way is to pair it with a skirt for a feminine look. Add bright colors to bring out the fun in your fashion and don't forget to add a the matching, chic heels!

Colour yourself with patterns this Spring.
Colorful patterns take over New York Fashion Week. According to 303magazine.com, the fashion shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week for Spring 2013 had a few reoccurring trends. Lace, bold colors, prints, leather, and chiffon were a few that were spoken about. After looking and analyzing the shows for myself, I came to the conclusion that the bold colors and prints stood out.
Runway looks: Throughout the runway it was easy to see many colorful prints. Nicole Miller's design on the left displays the popular floral pattern from the blazer to the model's pants. Patterned trousers hold a great importance for Spring 2013. They are fun to wear and make a fashion statement. The center look was created by J. Crew. Yet again, the floral prints were used. Bright, bold colors are common for many designers this Spring. The button-up blouse paired with the pencil skirt show that prints are used everywhere. The third look chosen was a dress from Sophie Theallet. Mix patterns throughout individual garments or complete outfits held a great significance. In my opinion, this trend is chic and fabulous!

How to wear this trend: This is a fun look to try! Take a look through your existing wardrobe and I'm sure you will find bold colors and unique prints. To create my look, I used a floral top with polka dot shorts. I completed the look with bright platform heels. Use your creativity and you will see how easy it is to build this trend yourself!

Fall in love with this Golden look.
GOLD is everywhere this Fall! According
to Elle.com and reviewing numerous runway shows for Fall 2012, this is predicted to be all over the stores this season. You
can find everything from golden metallic
material to beautiful gowns complete with gold embellishments. You may even want to pair up your favorite outfit with
layered gold accessories.
Off the runway: Dolce & Gabanna had a very impressive collection. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana contributed to the golden trend for Fall 2012. These talented designers brought in their inspiring Italian feel and used the baroque style in numerous pieces. These 16th century patterns were created as a gold embellishment. I personally am in love with the way gold was used on the runway for Dolce & Gabanna.

Everyday metallic: Gold metallic should be in your wardrobe this season. Whether it is a pair of leggings or a metallic top it is a must for Fall 2012. These pieces can be paired with just about everything for a fun and trendy look.

How to wear this trend: Instyle.com talks about combing gold
with black for a trendy Autumn style. The contrast of these two colors
bring out a great look. Creating this trend yourself is easy! I began
with a gold metallic top and paired it with a vintage skirt. Gold
layered necklaces and bracelets were added to the outfit. Matching
black pumps and a black purse (with a long, gold strap) completed my
look.
